Russian media outlets reported today that an explosion was heard near the town of Milerovo in the Rostov region. According to the source, the explosion took place around 6 o’clock. The article says that a fire broke out during the explosion and there are victims.
Then, WarGonzo spread a message on the telegram channel according to which, at the time of the explosion, all the planes were in the air, performing a combat mission, therefore, that no plane was damaged from that explosion.
Hours later, the Ukrainian Unian Telegram channel wrote that as a result of the strike, several modern planes were destroyed, to which a photo was attached. According to the channel, the Russian SU-30 fighter plane is burning in the photo.
In the photo published by the Unian Telegram channel, it is obvious that what is burning is the front part of the plane, moreover, the SU-30.
In addition, Fact Investigation Platform identified the location of the photo, which proves that the photos and videos spread are from the military airport in the city of Millerovo.
In the following photo taken after the air strike, we can see the three directions of the airport bifurcation (in red), the road on the right (in green) and the building at the end of the road (in yellow).
In the next photo we see the same orientations in the satellite image of Google Earth. The approximate location of the fire is at this coordinate address.
As for the claim of the Ukrainian media that several modern military planes were destroyed, we can at least state that one of the spread videos shows several fires.
Thus, according to factual data, at least one SU-30 plane burned at the military airport in the city of Milerovo after the Ukrainian missile strike, and the WarGonzo Telegram channel spreads false news, claiming that all the planes were in the air at the time of the strike.
