Allegations that Ukraine sold phosphorous bombs to Azerbaijan, which used them during the 44-day war against Artsakh, have re-emerged in the Armenian-language social media since the start of Russian-initiated hostilities in Ukraine on February 24.
The fact-checking website Euvsdisinfo.eu reminds, The Ukrainian government denied that any chemical weapons had been transferred and/or sold to Baku. “In addition, no pro-Kremlin disinformation actors put forward substantial evidence to back up their allegations about Ukraine” – the website states noting that while Ukraine did not provide military support to Azerbaijan, the Ukrainian government “has remained committed to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.”
