Recently Russian Sovsekretno.ru and flb.ru websites published “documents” which allegedly contain instructions by the Security Service of Ukraine to destroy evidence of downing the Malaysian Boeing MH17 plane.
It is noteworthy that recently the same websites had also published “documents” of the Ukrainian border service, according to which the latter have not fixed passing of Russian “BUK” missile systems from the Russian territory to the Ukrainian one. The disinformation was revealed by StopFake website indicating the elementary grammatical mistakes in the document.
This time the picture is the same. Apart from the elementary spelling errors in the document, there are formulations that do not reflect Ukraine’s official position. Take, for instance, the formulation “temporarily occupied territories”. Ukraine regards some regions of Donetsk and Lugansk as “temporarily occupied” and could not use the formulation “Donetsk People’s Republic”.
It is also worth adding that spokesperson of Security Service of Ukraine Yelena Gitlyanskaya also commented on this information, calling it “fake”.
This disinformation was spread in leading media outlets of the Russian propaganda machine, namely, Lenta.ru, Vz.ru, Trud.ru, Sputnik.ru and etc., as well as in the official Twitter account of the Russian Embassy in Canada.
