The incident that took place in Jrarat village on March 14 is the logical continuation of the incident on March 12.
In particular, on March 12, clashes occurred between famous colonel Lernik Yerenosyan, who is brother of RA Deputy Chief of Police Levon Yeranosyan, village mayor of Jrarat and Republican Party representative Samvel Galstyan and supporters of “Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanyan (ORO)” bloc.
According to information provided by the RA Investigative Committee, during the incident Lernik Yeranosyan fired a shot in the air with a “Makarov” pistol. In this regard, the ORO bloc issued a statement and informed that Jrarat village mayor Samvel Galstyan, who is also the relative of Deputy Chief of Police Levon Yeranosyan, has threatened their supporter.
The dispute had a logical development on March14, when a rifle was used against ORO supporters, and the latter were taken to hospital with gun wounds, stab wounds and other injuries.
This time Lieutenant General Levon Yeranosyan participated in the incident in person. The video circulating in media clearly shows Levon Yeranosyan and the scuffle, the gun shots and insults.
However, the Police are silent about all these circumstances. According to the clarification issued by the Police, children had a dispute at Jrarat village school on March 14. Later on the dispute continued between their parents and relatives and evolved into clashes. According to preliminary data, one of the sides had a rifle, and a shot was heard during the scuffle. The alleged shooter, Tigran Sargsyan, was taken to the police station.
However, the Police failed to mention the place where the incident took place, namely, the village administration office. They failed to mention that Deputy Chief of Police Levon Yeranosyan participated in the incident in plain clothes. They also failed to mention that those involved in the incident were the same people that were involved in the events of March 12.
At the end of the statement, the Police called on mass media and political forces not to spread unverified information and follow the official information only. However, as we see, the official information is heavily distorting the reality.
