Absurd Information about Biological Weapons Reaches Regnum

Recently the Russian Regnum agency published a study according to which the reference laboratories opened in Yerevan, Gyumri and Ijevan in 2016 with the funding provided by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency of the US Department of Defense have dual function and may create biological weapons.

We have already addressed this topic and proved the absurdity of such claims.

We remind that head of “Luys” information-analytical center Hayk Ayvazyan had published a “study” in which he noted that those laboratories can create biological weapons and use them against “the population of Armenia, which is Russia’s ally”.

In this respect, a comment was made by the US Embassy, which called this information propagandistic and suggested getting acquainted with the activity of the laboratories through RA Ministries of Health and Agriculture.

We also contacted the Ministry of Health and its Disease Control and Prevention National Center SNCO. This agency also responded that such allegations are absurd.

Ayvazyan’s publication became even more absurd when we published the letter by the RA Ministry of Health, according to which the reference laboratories receive assistance from Russia as well.

Thus, according to the “brilliant” analysis by Ayvazyan, the laboratories were engaged in organizing “biological conspiracy” against Russia. But it turns out Russia has been assisting them in this task.

It is surprising that Russian Regnum agency has joined this propaganda and published a similar study in spite of a large amount of disproving evidence. However, everything becomes clearer when we find out that the author of the publication is the same Hayk Ayvazyan.

Thus, it results that Ayvazyan continues to be in demand by the Russian propaganda machine. And if months ago his analysis was published in local news websites only, today we can state that the artillery of Russian propaganda has been put into action on behalf of Regnum agency.
