Video titled “Crazy and absolute abnormal” is fake. The campaign against Arsen Torosyan continues

A video has been widely spread on the Internet, according to which, the Health Minister Arsen Torosyan calls himself “crazy” and “an absolute abnormal”. The six-second video was uploaded on Facebook on September 17,2018 by a page called ArmZone. During this period, it has had more than 9000 views and has been shared by several websites such as primenews.am, info.xohanoc.am, armusa.ru, and hayq.info.

The video, however, is fake and was probably created with the FaceApp phone application or other similar software. There are several facts proving this. First, the man in the video does not blink at all throughout the video, and his eyes do not move. The endpieces of the eyeglases are missing, thus, the glass frames seem to be hanging in the air.

Let’s note, that this is one of the recent attempts to discredit Arsen Torosyan. For several times the Facts Investigation Platform has referred to the publications targeted at the health minister by the “Iravunk” newspaper,“ Armenia” TV,  hundreds of fakes accounts and Slaq.am websites.

It should be noted, that the media campaign against Arsen Torosyan began, when corruption cases were disclosed in “Surb Grigor Lusavorich” medical center in July 2018 and the Director of the MC, Ara Minasyan, the father of Serzh Sargsyan’s son-in-law Mikayel Minasyan was dismissed.
